India had started its 500th International Test match as first test out of 3 Test match series against New Zealand today at Green park in Kanpur.
India has started its first session with it’s trademark fashion, looked to set dominate against New Zealand and scored over 100 runs with loss of one wicket. Cheteshwara Pujara(62) and Murali vijay (65) made their fifties and looked strong in the beginning but after a soft dismissal of Pujara helped New Zealand to come strong and bowlers made their mark for rest of the day.
New Zealand bowlers Trent Boult and Mitchel Stanter spells India was unable to with stand for any huge partnership between the players. Rest other New Zealand bowlers picked a wicket each.
After Rahul (32) Rahane (18) Rohit Sharma (35) and Ashwin (40) runs effort india stands at 291 runs for the loss of 9 wickets at stumps. Jadeja (16) and Umesh (8) stands at crease for 90 overs on Day1.
India 1st Innings:
New Zealand bowlers had adopted to weather conditions from day1, even though first session was bit difficult to bowlers with new ball and hot climate, second and third session made huge impact on indian batsmen by New Zealand bowlers.
